Reader Tom Sheridan doesn't seem to be all that impressed with the pending prospects of Personal Air Vehicles (aka, "flying cars"). He claims to prefer a more, ah, adventurous mode of transportation...

Either way, the space just above our heads promises to get pretty busy in the decades ahead.
It's been a little while since we enjoyed a Europe-Off-the-Rails(tm) post, so let's try this one!

It can be hard staying away from snacking and eating stuff that generally isn't good for you. The next time you need to supress the urge to eat unhealthy foods at odd hours, just check out the Six Most Terrifying Foods in the World -- that'll fix ya.
Kinda looks like it could fly, but of course it doesn't. It's a Volkswagen concept car going into production in 2010, and what it does do is get 235 miles per gallon. As you might expect there are some down-sides, but as ever free markets self correct and I suspect this vehicle is one of many new high MPG prototypes we'll be seeing over the next decade.

And it looks like with a few aerodynamic modifications it might just get off the ground...
