Don't really understand the current banking and finance mess? Hey, don't fret, neither do our Senators! Seriously, is there anything more disheartening than watching a Senate hearing on any subject at all? Where do we find these people? I could go to my local middle school and find 100 kids just as well equipped to "lead" as the 100 lawyers currently serving in the Senate.

Anyway, reader Kerri Cavanaugh (note there's but one "n" in her last name) suggests that the simple Subprime Primer will answer all your questions! And she's right...
The French can, on occasion, be hilarious. I submit as proof this howler of a rugby match that descends into mayhem.

Not really knowing what might have triggered this calamitous dust-up, I'm going to speculate that it had something to do with the hideous pink uniforms. One team is horrified they have to wear them, and the other side are horrified they have to play against a team in pink.

Note the referee trying to sort out who should surrender to whom...

Mommy Needs a Cocktail stays in a lookout cabin on top of a windswept mountain in the middle of bear country with her 2 little children in tow.

Trouble? Hardly. She wisely brings almost no food.

You know what I have? I have "post-vacation syndrome". In fact I suffer from the more severe variant of the infliction, the "return [to work] syndrome", in that it affects me most accutely at 8 AM Monday through Friday.

If only I still lived in Europe, there might be hope for me...
